Response Loop FAQ
Response Loop General Practice Tips and FAQ
Q. “Is there anything specific I can do to make sure my Response Loop triggers when it’s supposed to?”
A. The real trick to establishing effective trigger points is to make sure that they relate to a specific action item or process, and then ensure that the users follow it without deviation. It does no good to set up an automated Response Loop campaign if the users are unwilling to take the two-and-a-half seconds to mark the Lead Status to trigger the Response Loop to start, for example.
Another tip is to remember that the Response Loop is a two-edged sword, in that it will always do what you tell it to—but that it will always do what you tell it to whether you like it or not. If you need a Response Loop to stop performing a certain action, then you must make sure that the termination is set correctly. If you run into problems with actions being performed out of sequence, or at the wrong times, then you must verify that your users are following the process correctly, that the Response Loop has been configured to follow that process, or you may want to simply turn off the Response Loop for those items.
Finally, if you’re unsure about how a particular Response Loop is running, set up a dummy list of names to practice with BEFORE broadcasting it live to the "real world."
Q. “I want more than one email / JabberDog / action to take place that triggers off of the same criteria. What do I have to do?”
A. You’ll need to create two (or more) completely separate Response Loop campaigns that trigger off of the same criteria.
Q. “If I set an interval to 0 and run an action, how long does it actually take for the action to take place?”
A. 0-Interval actions will typically run within minutes (less than 5) from the trigger occurring.
Q. “What happens if my Response Loop never terminates? In other words, nothing ever happens to the record that causes Response Loop to shut down?”
A. The Response Loop will continue to run until it reaches that last interval in sequence.
Q. “If I’m running JabberDog off of a Response Loop, how does Response Loop know not to call someone at say, 2:00 AM?”
A. You specify in the JabberDog what the appropriate time ranges are for placing automated calls.
Q. “Can I trigger an automated phone call for an agent instead of just a voice broadcast from Response Loop?”
A. Yes, you can. Using the InsideSales.com™ patented ResponseSwami™ and ResponsePop™ features, you can automatically schedule a phone call that links to an agent.
Q. “Is there a way to continuously re-enroll a record into a Response Loop campaign?”
A. Technically the answer is no, though you can set up a Response Loop to continuously move through a cycle of campaigns. Normally this involves setting up a “revolving door” approach with multiple Response Loop campaigns that are set to trigger off varying Lead Statuses, then instructing one Response Loop to shut down when it pushes the record from one status into the next triggering status. The basic process is no different than setting up a standard Response Loop, you just have to plan it out carefully to ensure that the process works correctly.

Can I organize LRL campaigns alphabetically
Under Lead Response Loop / Is there a way to alphabetically arrange 'Available Campaigns' under the Lead Response Loop?
I'm building a pretty good sized list of LRL campaigns and they seem to be stored in the order of creation vs alphabetically. Any suggestions on how to organize these by category or alpha listing?
Can I update a LRL campaign name
Is there a way to edit the name of a campaign in a lead response loop?
