When creating a list, I get an error message telling me my InsideSales username and password are invalid.

The PowerDialer for salesforce utilizes the salesforce web services api to transfer data from salesforce.com to InsideSales.com and into the dialer interface you see when dialing. To keep the data transaction to InsideSales.com secure we require you to authenticate using an InsideSales username and password assigned to you. To fix this error:

  1. Navigate to your personal information in salesforce.com
  2. Edit your personal information
  3. Input your InsideSales username and password assigned by your system administrator
  4. If you have not been assigned a username and password, please see your system administrator
  5. If you have double checked your username and password, and they appear to be correct, please contact your InsideSales support representative at (866) 342-5370 to have your login reset.

When I click to save my dialer list, I get an error telling me there is a problem with my InsideSales integration.

The PowerDialer for salesforce utilizes a two way authentication between salesforce.com and InsideSales.com. Please check the following to ensure the integration is set up correctly.

  1. Verify your InsideSales username and password in your personal information in salesforce.com
  2. Verify your salesforce username and password in your InsideSales personal information.
  3. Verify the correct IP range has been added to your salesforce.com Network Access settings to allow the InsideSales servers to access your salesforce organization.
  4. Verify you have added the correct remote site under the Remote Site Settings portion of salesforce.com.
  5. Verify you have allocated package user licenses to the correct users in salesforce.com.
  6. Verify you have mapped salesforce users in InsideSales.com
  7. If you have verified all the above items, and they appear to be correct, please contact your InsideSales support representative at (866) 342-5370.

When I load the dialer I see a blank page, or an error message telling me the page cannot be displayed.

This error is caused by an incorrect, expired, or lack of a salesforce password in your InsideSales.com account. Please navigate to your InsideSales.com account and verify your salesforce username and password in the personal information page.

If you have double checked your username and password, and they appear to be correct, please contact your InsideSales support representative at (866) 342-5370.

When I load the dialer, I see the dialer screen, but all the fields are blank.

This issue appears occasionally when required fields in one system are not being populated by the other system. It is a good practice to identify all required fields in both the dialer (denoted by a darker color than the other fields) and salesforce.com, and make the same fields required in both systems.

Verify all required fields are mapped and being populated with data in InsideSales.com, as well as salesforce.com.

The InsideSales Username and Password fields will not display in my salesforce.com personal information.

The PowerDialer for salesforce package is a license managed package, meaning user licenses are allocated to your company for use of the PowerDialer. To assign user licenses as a salesforce.com administrator, you must have the Manage Package Licenses permission. To assign user licenses:

  1. Navigate to view the installed dialer package
  2. Click the link to “Manage Package Licenses” next to the Dialer name
  3. Assign Dialer Licenses to the appropriate users
