The Email Opt-Out Manager gives administrators a fast way to view all current leads and contacts that have been flagged to no longer receive email communication, providing more visibility and flexibility for managing email activity in the system.
Note: The Email Opt-Out Manager will not appear in your system unless enabled by your InisideSales.com representative. If you are interested in using this feature, talk to them about having it enabled on your system.
The management tool is fairly straightforward; it can be accessed through the Manage Email Opt-Outs link on the Administrative tab.
Once here, you can search for specific email addresses to see if they are currently in the list, or add new addresses to the list via a .CSV import.
To import to .CSV, your spreadsheet should have only 1 column of data, with one row for each email address to add. The maximum number of emails that can be imported at once is 100,000.
If an address has been added to the opt-out system, a user will no longer be able to send communication to that user, even as a one-time action.
If the user attempts to send an email to a blocked address, the system shows the user an error message, as shown in the picture below.
