Edit Data View Permissions without Logging in as user

7

Here is a suggestion which saves a lot of time. An administrator should be able to set data view permissions for any employee without having to log in as that user. This is especially useful for companies that have sales reps who should only be able to see their own files. A drop down box in the employee field that says "View Permissions" with options like me, or a multi-select list, or anyone.

The employee manager should also let users see more columns such as custom fields similar to "fields to display" in any other lead/cases tab.

I agree with this but it

I agree with this but it needs to be thought out. For Instance there are a couple of ways to build it.

1. We could create a menu similar to the "Edit initiative Defaults" under the Voice Message Manager. This will display all employees in one column and then their "Data View" in a drop down menu in the next column. That way you can edit every employee on the same page. There should also be a "Mass Update" field.

2. You could create it like we do "Page Permissions". You could build certain groups and then assign agents to the group.

In Either Case the permissions need to have an additional change made. Currently when I go to the Data View I have to select my Own name. If we are going to allow a mass update or create groups then there needs to be an option called "My Own" that maps to whatever owner has those settings. So instead of selecting "my name" I would Select "My Own" which in my account maps to me but in "Rep A" account it represents "Rep A"
