Lockdown of a field

I think the system needs an option to lock down a field so that agents can only add to this notes field and cannot delete it. So there are continuous notes being added to an account. A description field would work the best.
The ultimate goal is to have continuous notes about any record so Brian can search for key words in the advanced search to see if they want to re-sell these people 6months to a year later etc.

Create an Add Note Javascript Button
You can have a javascript button that pops a window where you type in the notes. Once you type the notes and submit it will enter those notes into your Description field with a Date/Time/Owner stamp. Now simply make the description field Read Only and you are all set.

Field Lockdown
Specifically the notes field should be protected. We continue to cycle our leads from one agent to another until we get a 'close'. It would be great if the intergrity of the historical notes captured over the life of a lead were protected. Right now, the notes field can be deleted.
We have added the 'log changes' tracker to just about every field to guarantee the integrity of the lead as well as the honesty of the agents but a protected field would be more efficient.
