Mass Update Due Date of Tasks

Allow the ability to update the Due Date of a single or multiple Tasks on the fly.
Instead of editing the task use the Mass Update feature to change the due date of Task without ever leaving the home tab.
Two possible ways to accomplish this.
1) Utilize the awesome idea already submitted of Mass Deleting Events but enhance this to allow you to Mass Update Due Date as well as Mass update Status.
2) Change the due date field to be built in flash and allow editing of this field from the home page. Similar to the current ability to change the priority using the up arrows.

Why stop there? Mass updating for any field in your layout?
Shouldn't this be the same premise with any html development? More specifically...if changes are developed to mass updates can be made for events or tasks, wouldn't it be even easier to develope the ability to mass update account or lead records by any field pre-existing within your layouts?
For example, I have a search list of accounts owned by me. I want to mass update this list of my customers to indicate I have two additional owners on these accounts, same two people. Select all these records, click mass update, and it asks me which field am I mass updating for all these records? (Additional Owners would be the field, I'd add both and click 'save' or 'update' and boom! All these accounts now have this added to their individual records.)
