Leaderboards add a key motivational component to PowerStandings, giving your reps a public, up-to-the-second view of activity. As work gets done and KPIs tally, your leaderboards update in real time to show who's in the penthouse, and who's in the doghouse.

As long as your KPIs and PowerStandings teams are set up correctly, setting up a leaderboard is a cinch.

Head to the Manage Leaderboards link in your InsideSales tab. When you arrive you'll see a list view of all of your current leaderboards.

Creating / Editing a List

There's two basic visual areas for a leaderboard. On the left is the leaderboard itself, tied to a specific KPI, where the top three leaders have their profile pictures displayed. This area can rotate up to ten different list views, cycled on a time frame you define.

On the right is an "events" section, where a small set of significant actions appear. Events might include when a KPI leader changes, or when a rep hits a specific milestone.

The settings for each are defined in the leaderboard editor, accessible via the Create or Edit links.

In order to enable your Leaderboards to auto refresh, use the Keep Alive and Keep Alive Interval setting options.

When Keep Alive is disabled, your Leaderboard will time out based on your timeout settings.

Leaderlist Settings

The Leaderlist Settings area has options for up to ten rotating leaderboards. The amount of time spent on each list is defined in the Transition Time field at the top of the page.

To set up a leaderboard list:

  1. Checkmark the list as "Active."
  2. Give it a title.
  3. Select a content option from the picklist. The options are your KPIs.
  4. Set the date range.
  5. Select a color.
  6. If you're going to set up multiple, rotating leaderlists, give each one a different background color to make them easier to distinguish.
  7. Choose the PowerStandings team(s) to be included. Only employees who belong to the assigned team(s) will appear on the leaderboard.

Repeat these steps for Leaderlist #2 or #3 if desired.

Events Feed

The options for the events feed can be edited at the bottom of the page, below Leaderlist #3.

  1. Click Edit to see an overlay panel of selectable options.
  2. Select your feed items, then choose whether you want the event feed to take over the full-screen leaderboard when it occurs.

That's it! Your leaderboard is set.

Viewing a Leaderboard

Leaderboards are designed to run in a browser window, full screen. To access a leaderboard, click the Open link for the board you want in the list area. The board will launch in a new browser window (make sure you allow the window pop-up through your pop-up blocker).

For Firefox and Google Chrome, a page can be viewed full screen by clicking F11.
