Access User

Some users may notice that a system administrator is constantly creating tasks and updating contacts and other records. In many instances these are automatic updates made by the PowerDialer app using the company's Access User.

Access User Explained

Our third-party PowerDialer app uses an Access User account to push and pull data from our InsideSales system to your Salesforce account. This user account must be a full system administrator so the PowerDialer app can can do the following using the account:

  • Create tasks
  • Edit and update records
  • Access all user data

The Access User must remain an active user in the Salesforce system, with full administrative access. The PowerDialer application will not function properly if the Access User is deactivated.

If you need to change the Access User, contact your InsideSales representative. They will help ensure the change happens correctly.
