There is no downtime for installing the package.
The migration will have a maximum downtime of ten minutes for inbound calls, and has no impact on outbound calls. Because of the potential downtime for inbound calls, migrations are only done at night.
The migration is not done immediately after installing the package. When you install the package, we get a notice that you've updated to the package that contains the new platform components.
It is perfectly safe. You should install the package as soon as it is available, and then wait for an InsideSales.com representative to contact you.
Your account manager will contact you sometime after you install the package and before your migration completion date.
