The Achievements Tab

Achievements are awards given to reps when they hit individual milestones. These aren't competitive awards, where a rep is jockeying for position against other reps or teams. Instead they're more internally-focused, personal effort goals where the rep is competing against him- or herself.

Head to the Achievements link in your InsideSales tab to get started.

By default PowerStandings includes ten basic achievements predefined when you installed the package. If you're interested visit the Predefined Achievements page to get a detailed breakdown; for now we're going to walk through how to create your own.

Create an Achievement

  1. Click to Create a new achievement.
  2. Fill out the fields for Step 1.
    • Name - Give your achievement a fun, memorable name.
    • Description - Use the description to detail the achievement. This text will also appear in the Leaderboards event feed.
    • Teams - Choose which PowerStandings team(s) has/have access to the achievement. The achievement goes live for the reps as soon as finish and save it.
  3. Set the achievement requirements in Step 2.
    • KPI - Choose the focus KPI.
    • Rate - Sets the time period for how often PowerStandings checks to see if the rep has hit the target achievement levels. For example, setting this to "Weekly" means PowerStandings will award the achievement if any of the appropriate levels are hit during a single Monday - Friday period. If you want the period to include Saturdays and Sundays, use the Include Weekends setting.
    • Method - This sets mathematical logic for the achievement levels. Options are "Sum" and "Average."

      "Sum" means the rep has to reach a total tally of the KPI during the defined time period. For example, you might set the Level 1 badge at 75 dials, with a rate of "Daily," with the Method set to "Sum." If the rep hit 75 dials in a single day, he or she would attain Level 1.

      "Average" works in conjunction with the Consecutive Days/Weeks/Months/XXXX setting. When you set the Method to "Average," to reach a Level the rep has to average the defined Level's goal number for the defined consecutive time period. For example, Level 1 set to 60 dials, with a "Daily" rate, for 3 consecutive days. In this instance, the rep has to average 60 dials a day for 3 days to earn Level 1.

    • Consecutive XXXX - This is most often used in conjunction with the "Average" setting for Method, though it can also be used for "Sum" if desired. This setting determines how many consecutive time periods the rep must reach the KPI requirement for an achievement Level.
    • Include Weekends - When enabled, the Rate and Consecutive Days settings include KPI tallies from Saturdays and Sundays, and PowerStandings calculates any sums and averages accordingly.
  4. Fill out the Level requirements and design the badges in Step 3.
    • KPI requirement - This sets the number the KPI rep has to reach, either as a sum or average, to achieve that Level during the defined time period.
    • Points reward - If you're using PowerStandings points, reps can achieve bonus points beyond those assigned to their KPIs when they complete an achievement. This field sets the point reward for successfully reaching an achievement level.
    • Edit Badges - This link in the top right corner of the Step 3 header lets you change the visual appearance of the achievement badge. Editable options include the badge icon and color.

The Achievements tab shows the achievements the agent has earned, as well as their progess towards earning additional achievements.

Use the dropdown in the upper right-hand corner to switch between a view of Completed and In Progress Achievements.
